Custom software for healthcare practices.

I work with doctors, dentists, physical therapists, chiropractors and specialists. Tell me what’s slowing your team down, and I’ll build the tool that fixes it and support it after launch.

An AI food allergy app I designed, built and run, so I know what it takes to keep software working for real people every day.

Also built: an operations tool for an online beauty store, and an AI system that researches, writes and publishes a newsletter and social posts on its own.

What do missed visits cost you?

Text reminders are one of the simplest things I set up. Put in your own numbers. Nothing is sent anywhere.

$

Starting values are examples, not averages. Change them to yours.

Missed visits cost about $6,500 $78,000 a year
If text reminders cut that by about a third $2,180 a month

A Cochrane review of 8 trials found text reminders raised attendance from 67.8% to 78.6%, about a third fewer missed visits.1 Your results will depend on your patients and setup.

How it works.

No switching systems. I build around the software you already have.

  1. Free audit

I test your front desk like a new patient would, then we talk for 20 minutes. You get a one-page report the same day.

  2. Written plan, then the build

You approve every workflow and screen before I build it. Then I test it until every path works.

  3. Launch and support

I train your team, in person across Western New York. After launch you get a reply within one business day, plus an optional monthly front-desk check.

Patient data, handled properly.

A BAA comes first
Every vendor that touches patient information signs a Business Associate Agreement before any data moves.
No health details in texts
Messages say things like “your visit is tomorrow at 9.” Diagnoses and notes stay out of texts and email.
You own everything
Accounts, phone numbers and data are in your practice’s name. If we stop working together, you keep all of it.

Hi, I’m Josh.

I run Josh Powers.dev out of Buffalo. During the week I build software for a dental implant manufacturer, so I know how a practice runs and how careful patient information has to be.

I’m one person, and that’s the point. The person on your audit call is the person who builds your system and answers when you need something.

Questions practices ask.

Do you work with my kind of practice?

Yes. Primary care, dental, physical therapy, chiropractic, and specialists like dermatology, orthopedics, optometry and mental health. Every office deals with missed calls, no-shows, paperwork and follow-up. The details change, and I build around yours.

What does it cost?

It depends on what you need, so I quote after the free audit and before any work starts. If a build needs outside software or texting, those fees are billed at cost and you see them before you agree to anything.

We already pay for Weave, NexHealth or Podium. Do we need this?

Maybe not all of it. Many offices only use part of what they already pay for. I’ll turn on what you’re missing first and only build what your current software can’t do.

Can we start small?

Yes. Missed-call text-back can run as a 30-day pilot on your own account. If it works, you keep it, and we decide on anything bigger from there.

Will it work with our practice software?

Most practice management systems can export appointment and patient lists, and many have their own reminder settings. I start from what your system already does and build around it. On the audit call I’ll tell you exactly what’s possible with yours.

Is it HIPAA compliant?

It’s built to be. Every vendor that touches patient information signs a BAA, texts never include health details, and access is limited by role. There’s no official HIPAA certification for software, so ask anyone who claims one what they mean.

You have a day job. Who supports this?

I do. You’ll get a reply within one business day by text or email. Every build also comes with documentation and logins, so your team is never stuck waiting on me.

Tell me what’s slowing your practice down.

Here’s what the free audit covers.

  1. I test your front desk like a patient would. Two test calls, your online booking, your reviews and your forms.
  2. A 20-minute call. Where calls, no-shows and follow-up slip, and what your team still does by hand.
  3. A one-page report the same day. The top 3 fixes, what each one costs you, and what your current software can already do.

The report is yours whether or not we work together.

Calls run weekdays 4 to 7 pm and weekends 9 am to 7 pm, Eastern.
